Published Tuesday, Jul 22 2008, 17:02 BST | By Neil Wilkes | 25 comments
Behold, yet more video goodness! Here is an extended preview of the much-anticipated 24 TV movie, airing on Fox in the US and Sky One in the UK this November.

The two-hour "prequel" to season seven - known as 24: Exile - sees Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) involved in a military coup in South Africa, while back in the US, Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) is sworn in as the first female President. There are guest stars aplenty: keep your eyes peeled for Robert Carlyle (Jack's mentor Carl Benton), Powers Boothe (the outgoing President) and Jon Voight (Jonas Hodges, the main villain).

It's going to be great to watch television again. Without "24" it's been a long, dry run.

Mr Bauer is in the process of cutting the finished Trailer. This one was only roughly cut, as Jack was using one hand, he was disarming a nuke using a toothpic with the other.

Glad Jack is back but trailer looks rubbish and very cliché. Think they should just have waited for season 7 to be ready

Looks amazin, missed 24 sooo much, can't wait for this to hit the airwaves!
Anna, London, on July 23rd, 2008
That looks awful- but not as bad as the trailer for season7 with Tony back as the pantomime villian. Please no more of Jack single handedly saving an entire nation. Looking forward to Robert Carlyle. I guess we just have to wait and see.

it looks like the 2001 film To End All Wars, which stangely starred both kiefer and robert as POWs http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0243609/ It will probably be really cheesy and i will cringe all the way through it, but then that is why 24 is so entertaining. Yes it may have lost the groundbreaking appeal of the first couple of seasons, but now it knows that the joke is on us, and will keep playing it up for laughs till we have jack busting out of an old folks home and careering off the meds.

Not that impressed. Where's Chloe?

Hell yea. cant wait! looks absolutely unbelievable. Casting looks great. Jack back at last thank god...have been so lonely without him!
Chloe, CTU, on July 23rd, 2008
Holy cow, this looks truly awful. I've seen better fan trailers than this. Jack Bauer is well past his sell-by date. They should have wrapped this show after season 2 or 3. Won't be wasting my time on this.
Matthew, Fleet, on July 23rd, 2008
Why bother putting together such a shoddy trailer? 24 is MEANT to be about quality production...this looks likes like a rushed version put together by a work experience gimp. Come on Jack...must try harder!
Jay, London , on July 23rd, 2008
Looks good, can't wait !!!!

As i am a huge fan of 24 and i have all six seasons on dvd, i can't wait for this 2 hour prequel, This looks amazing and it will be more better when i watch it on sky one HD For the first time. Also i am shocked that tom lennox is back, did not know he was coming back. Its been to long since we so jack bauer saved millions of people from dying, can't wait until november to air on sky one HD and day 7 in january 2009, please be quick months as i am missing 24 so much!

1st of all, I love Bauer! 2nd- has anyone seen Blood Diamond or Tears of the Sun or Die Hard? Is 24 just going to be a re-enactment of successful formulas from now on? Where's Kim and the Cougar when you need them?! I thought the secret to good writing was HIDING where you steal from? Oh well, as long a Bauer is killing people with his bare hands (or his teeth) I don't care.

That looks amazing, can't wait
Billy, Northampton, on July 22nd, 2008
Hey Joe, this trailer is just a work in progress one, it's not an official one by any means. That's why it has the awful voiceover and that song.
Natalie, West Yorks, on July 22nd, 2008
As much as i'm looking forward to having Jack back, that was all a bit of a cliche, Jack is their only hope. Jack gets strung up and tortured. Jacks breaks free by pulling off a clever move on a useless guard... I'm sure i'll love it anyway 'cos that's what 24's about but y'know... I'm still waiting for the 'Tony's not dead!' stuff from the first preview before the strike! Few interesting new cast members though!
