Winning Dorothy to release 'Rainbow'

The winner of BBC One talent show Over The Rainbow will release a charity single, it has been revealed.

Danielle Hope, Lauren Samuels and Sophie Evans will battle it out tomorrow night to win the role of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's updated West End musical.

Whoever the nation votes the champion on Saturday night will release a cover of Judy Garland's iconic 'Over The Rainbow' from the original Wizard of Oz movie.

It will be released for download on Sunday, May 23. A physical copy featuring 'The Wizard Of Oz Medley' follows on May 31. The medley features all three finalists performing classic tracks such as 'Follow The Yellow Brick Road', 'We're Off To See The Wizard', 'It Really Was No Miracle', 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead', 'The Merry Old Land Of Oz' and 'If I Only Had A Heart'.

All funds raised from the single will go to Prostate UK and The BBC Performing Arts Fund.

The Over The Rainbow final airs at 7pm tomorrow night on BBC One.
