The singer and actress, who reached the live finals of the BBC One talent search, claimed that the post-show success of the contestants was because the programme had "their best interests at heart".
Speaking to DS, she explained: "The show was really all about the talent and giving people a chance to achieve their dream. It wasn't about all the other things - it was about the singing and nothing else.
"I think if anybody really wants to do this as a job, definitely go for it [on a talent show] - because I think it was fantastic. I wouldn't be here now if I hadn't gone for it, and it changed my life for the better.
"I loved the experience and I'm gutted it's over, but I'm still in contact with everyone and hopefully I'll see them all soon!"
Davis, who has landed a role playing Sinead O'Connor in Hollyoaks, also revealed that she was hoping to catch up with Webber soon.
"I've not had a chance to speak to him so far, but I'm going to grab a chance when I can and ring him. I'll have a catch-up with him, because I've not spoken to him for a while. It'll be good to speak with him," she said.
"He's so lovely and he said, 'I'm always there for you if you need me.' So I'll give him a ring and have a catch-up."
