Odds slashed on Maureen win
Published Wednesday, Feb 18 2004, 17:54 GMT | By Neil Wilkes
Odds on 'Mad Mo' winning Back To Reality have been slashed significantly in the last 24 hours.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes have the ex-Driving School student at 6/1 from 14/1, making her a joint third favourite with James Hewitt.
"Punters have flocked to back Maureen and we have been forced to slash her odds from 14/1 to 6/1," said Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush. "Instead of creating congestion and pile-ups on the roads she is causing chaos at the bookies. Maureen is a strong contender; you could say she is one of the contestants in pole position."
Craig Phillips remains the firm favourite at 5/2 with Jade on 4/1, while Rik Waller and Uri Geller are the rank outsiders at 33/1.
