All of the male contestants had been spending the night in the Secret Suite, where conversations that the girls were having in the main resort were shown on a television screen.
"I just can't let it go on any longer, I just feel like I'm in sixth grade," Colleen told the other girls. "I have to go and tell someone I just want to be friends because it's not like in the outside world where you can just get a call and then say, 'Can I call you back?'."
Lee broke down after hearing the conversation, complaining, "She's been telling me one thing, now she's telling the girls another. I just can't understand why she didn't just tell me that. I thought she could be the one."
The male contestants soon left the suite and Lee confronted Colleen when they returned to the main resort.
"F*** you Colleen," he raged. "You should have said that to me instead of leading me on. It's not fair. You've f***ed with my feelings and f***ed with my head. I hope you know you'll never meet a guy like me who'll do anything for you. You're someone I've invested a lot of feelings in, who I thought I had a special bond with."
After Brendan Cole tried to intervene, Lee stormed into the Beach Hut, where he destroyed thousands of pounds worth of equipment and threatened to leave the show.
The former Hollyoaks actor later calmed down and apologised for his tantrum, agreeing with Colleen that they should just be friends.
