Too-old Pop Idol hopeful Brendan Kilkenny is working as a male escort, The Sun reports today.
The 42-year-old, who was seen in Saturday night's show claiming to be 16 and performing a medley of hits for the judges, earns £100 a night by wining and dining lonely ladies in Ireland.
“I charge £100 but I never spend the night and I’ve never been tempted," he told the newspaper. “I want to provide my services in England. I’d be available to take women out to the cinema, a dinner dance or some other function. Some ladies don’t have time to find a date and that’s where I step in. I’m an extrovert and a performer — being an escort is just part of that.???
Brendan advertises himself in a lonely hearts column as a “handsome, debonair gentleman."
