The winner of World Idol has ruled out having cosmetic surgery to improve his looks.
Kurt Nilsen - nicknamed 'The Hobbit' by Australia's judge Ian Dickson - romped to victory with a performance of U2's 'Beautiful Day' in the Christmas contest. Now he plans to capitalise on the success by releasing his single around the globe, but he doesn't think his unusual appearance will be an obstacle.
“If I did change my looks, I would have sold myself," he told The Sun today. "I keep telling everyone, ‘I’m in it for the music.’ I don’t care how I look or what people think of me.
“Elton John isn’t the prettiest guy, but he has done some great things. Nobody said anything bad about my singing. What was great about my singing was it made them shut up about my lips and teeth.???
