“ Pop Idol ”
'Idol' winner Michelle in single flop
Published Sunday, Apr 11 2004, 19:39 BST | By Neil Wilkes

Having notched up a number one with her debut single 'All This Time' back in January, her second release 'The Meaning Of Love' has failed to even make it close to the top ten.
Rockers The Rasmus were the highest new entry at number three, while virtual unknowns 'Special D' managed a number six. Narcotic Thrust and Beyonce entered at nine and ten respectively. McFly's 'Five Colours In Her Hair' held the number one spot.
Today's charting is just the latest setback for Michelle, who has been dogged by bad press since her win at Christmas.
By contrast, first Pop Idol winner Will Young has enjoyed continued success in recent months; including a sell-out nationwide tour, second album sales in excess of 1.2 million and a new £1 million record deal in America.
