The Final
Plucked from the confines of the Academy and plunged into the madness of the Comic Relief studio, how would our final three cope?
Edith Bowman – Bridge Over Troubled Water
This was a difficult one to judge, as technical problems meant that Edith’s vocal wasn’t as audible as it should have been.
There was more subtlety than in her previous rendition of this but it obvious that the last two weeks have taken their toll and it times her voice sounded tired.
Dek Rating 8/10
Adrian Edmondson – Too Good To Be True
Obviously the surprise value of this was lost as this is the second time we’ve seen it. Thanks to some prompting from Craig, the shock value was back as Ade mooned the judges.
A cracking performance.
Dek Rating 7/10
Kim Medcalf – Something
Kim entered this competition as a soap star; she leaves a star in her own right.
Perfectly executed.
Dek Rating 10/10
So at this stage we said goodbye to Adrian, he had been the comedy spark that made the whole thing worthwhile while always reminding us why they were doing it. He should be very proud.
Edith Bowman – Champagne Supernova
This was someway off Edith’s best but it really didn’t matter by now.
She has been magnificent in the course of the series and has earned every plaudit.
Kim Medcalf – Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Kim was at the top of her game here, seemingly thriving at having a real band to back her.
To be frank, I’m running out of superlatives.
This has been a really entertaining journey and Edith was crowned the champion having worked tremendously hard.
Hats off to all the celebs though who bravely faced the wrath of those judges each night in really good cause.
