Ulrika loses out in 'Fame Academy'
Published Tuesday, Mar 11 2003, 19:37 GMT | By Neil Wilkes
Ulrika Jonsson became the fifth celebrity expelled from Celebrity Fame Academy this evening.
Ulrika was on probation with fellow students Will Mellor and Doon Mackichan; the public vote saved just one -- Will, who gained 55%.
Will then joined Kwame and Ruby to vote for who they wanted to keep in the academy another day.
Kwame was first up, voting for Doon because "she is ultimately the better singer." Ruby was next, choosing Ulrika because "she is the most talented one."
This meant Will had the casting vote, opting for Doon "based on the performance of the song tonight."
At the end of the programme, headteacher Richard Park revealed that all four remaining students were being put on probation and would be singing for survival in tomorrow night's show.
Celebrity Fame Academy airs Wednesday at 19.00 on BBC One.
