Time runs out for Kwame in 'Fame Academy'
Published Thursday, Mar 13 2003, 23:24 GMT | By Neil Wilkes
Kwame Kwei-Armah was expelled from the Celebrity Fame Academy earlier this evening.
The Casualty actor just missed out on a place in tomorrow's live final at BBC Television Centre during the Comic Relief telethon.
Will Mellor was the first student through to the final, having gained the most votes from viewers, but in a surprise twist, the previously expelled students were brought back to vote on who would be joining him.
Six of the seven students voted for Ruby Wax, earning her the spot, meaning that with just one vote from an emotional Will, Kwame was eliminated.
Comic Relief airs Friday from 19.00 on BBC One.
