Salmon eliminated from 'Fame Academy'

Zoe Salmon was eliminated from Comic Relief Does Fame Academy last night.

The Blue Peter host, who had been told by the judges that her performance of Gloria Estefan's 1-2-3 was her best yet, found herself in the bottom three alongside Angellica Bell and Tricia Penrose.

After the three contestants had performed their songs for a second time, judges Lesley Garrett and Craig Revel Horwood outvoted headmaster Richard Park, who wanted to save Zoe, and put Tricia through to the next round. The student vote then went five votes to two against Zoe, allowing Angellica another night in the Academy.

Asked how she felt about the decision, Zoe replied: "I am really upset to be out, but I had a lot of fun in the Academy so I may try to sneak back in."

Comic Relief Does Fame Academy continues tonight at 8.00pm on BBC One.
