Giedroyc expelled from 'Fame Academy'

Mel Giedroyc has become the sixth celebrity to be eliminated from Comic Relief does Fame Academy.

The comedienne's rendition of Doris Day's 'Move Over Darling' failed to impress the public and she found herself in the bottom three alongside former Eastenders actor Shaun Williamson and Radio One DJ Colin Murray.

However, Murray was saved by his fellow students and Williamson was saved by the show's judges.

Giedroyc said: "I may be out, but I'll be breaking back into the Academy!"

Six contestants remain in the show, including CBBC host Angelica Bell, BBC Sport presenter Ray Stubbs and socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

The next episode of Comic Relief does Fame Academy airs tonight at 7pm.
