'Heroes' season three scoopage

What's this? Two posts on Heroes in as many days... has Christmas come early this year?

Today I come fresh from BBC Two's Autumn launch, where us journo types were treated to a world exclusive, never-seen-before, you-will-be-castrated-if-you-secretly-record-this-and-upload-it-to-youtube preview of Heroes season three. As I value my intimate regions quite highly, I'm afraid that what follows is the best I can do. A warning: spoiler-phobes should look away now.

  • Nathan Petrelli is apparently dead. We see him rushed to hospital, where resuscitation attempts fail. "There was nothing we could do," a doctor tells the family. I don't believe it.

  • Looks like Elle (Kristen Bell) is going to be spending a bit of time sparring with Sylar this season.

  • Angela Petrelli introduces us to "Level 5", a housing place for the most dangerous criminals in the world - rapists, arsonists, killers. Presumably this is where the band of Villains escape from.

  • Matt Parkman is alone in the middle of a desert screaming for help.

  • New Villain 'The Speedster' steals something from Hiro and quips, "Gotta run."

  • Is Sylar in league with Angela Petrelli? In one short clip he is seen approaching her from behind and placing his hands on her shoulders.

  • Linderman is back with a prophecy of doom. "The second coming is at hand," he warns.

  • And, perhaps the most shocking tease of all: a big bald man, incarcerated in Level 5, shouts: "I'm not who you think I am. I'm Peter Petrelli..."

  • The third season of Heroes will play out on BBC Two and BBC Three (and BBC HD) from the end of September, with a delay of just eight days on the original US broadcast. The season will comprise two "volumes", each containing 13 and 12 episodes respectively.

Duh. Bob's power isn't turning metals into gold. It's obviously the ability to convert teaspoons into anything else.

There won't be a body swapping villain I believe, because Peter can absorb abilites, he would have been able to evade his power.

OMG the fat bald man, everyone seems to think that it's Peter but I think it's his dad, I heard he was going to be shown, I think that little spoiler is just to throw people off; note that the spoiler has elipses at the end.

The teasers are making me smuggle peanuts. And making my Jeans tighter around the crotch area. I feel the need to point out the below to the following person and, as such, i quote below from a post above: ''Katie, Stirlingshire on July 11th, 2008 - ...and Maya for god sake woman stop snivelling I don't think the brother is really dead either. Its good they are showing it not long after the US Debut...'' If 'the brother' is not in fact dead, then how is it that 'little girl' is not able to locate him? No offence intended Katie.

I hear Mohinder has a power after Kristen Bell teased the fact in an online interview with E!. She says something about ''scales'' and if you remember from season 1, Mohinders fathers lizard was called Mohinder, you find this out when Eden goes into the flat in the second ever episode.

K, Scotland on July 12th, 2008 No its not persuasion . we have not seen Angela use her power, we have only seen peter use it. i think it is the ability to dream the future as this is the only ability we have seen peter use that cant be accounted for. i cannot wait until season three, as long as Peter's still as hot as ever!! isaac mendez was a precog, he used to dream the future before he used the drugs so it couldn't be dreaming the future.... i heard her power as alot to do with women and that kaito nakamura had more than 1 power =O

As best as I can tell, if this hasn't been mentioned already, Angela Petrelli's power is (at the very least) influence. Go back to almost any key scene with her in it. As she advises someone, she is touching/caressing them, and they always do what she says.

I'm confused! I thought Elle was adopted like Claire, so her dad isn't really her dad. Just Claire's adopted dad tells Elle how she was experimented on at age 7. Help, please?

There are other (and much better shows) than Heroes and Dr Who you know!
This show sucks, on July 11th, 2008
Season 2 was horrible and just showed laziness on the side of the writers. I wonder how much more story they will steal from The 4400 this season?
    Adam, on July 11th, 2008
Oh wow. I am desperate to see this now. Cannot wait to see Francis Caprs in action. Also, about Nathan 'dying': anyone thing that'll happen, but he'll be brought back by Adam/Claire's blood? If so, yawn.
    Kate, L'pool, on July 11th, 2008
I was hoping Elle and Sylar would get some screen time! I just hope he doesn't kill her. I hope she does more than 5 eps I really liked Elle and it was good to see KB back on the small screen.

Oh, man. I can't wait for Season 3 to begin!!
Tom, Luton, on July 11th, 2008
Wow! this makes up for the short season 2!! and so close to the US screening! I wonder if they will have to take breaks everytime the US has a bank holiday or if they signed in the contract that they can show one a week!!

I suspect Peter becomes the fat bald man after meeting someone who can swap bodies. Question is, since Peter could easily escape from Level 5, does this mean that when swapping bodies his powers stay with the old body? So that's my theory anyway, that someone steals his body and his powers along with it.
