Hannah, Cornwall, UK on August 24th, 2008

Julia, Derby on August 20th, 2008

John, Sheffield on August 20th, 2008
Good news (although, as others have pointed out, hardly ground-breaking considering Sky and Fox are owned by the same people!). Although get ready for that irritating 'mid-season break' that's so prevelant in the USA to be commonplace over here from now....
Ed, Manchester on August 20th, 2008
I don't really see what the big deal is here, it's only a few days earlier than last year. As Sky do something similar with Lost, I don't think there is any Fox linkage as Lost is a Disney show. As someone said already, unless the 4th season improves on the awful 3rd season even more viewers will be turning off anyway!
Daniel, Burton-on-Trent on August 20th, 2008
Brilliant news. This is how you combat piracy - make it pointless.
Iain, Darlington on August 20th, 2008
Yeah it's great that the US shows are beginning to being shown almost the same time in the UK. This choice of actions is thanks to US broadcasters to reduce their shows being d/led on bit-torrent, as the BBC shall being doing the same with Heroes. The down side to this, is the US scheduling as they stop and start the season mid way through, and instead of show the show on a weekly basis, they change it from weekly to fortnightly then back again. I'm sure there will be a few folk out there who shall not be happy about this.
Nick Smith, London on August 20th, 2008
SkyOne.....Bravo!!! Hopefully you will do the same thing with the new season on Lost!
Tony, Leeds on August 19th, 2008
....and I also forgot Chuck on Virgin1
Tony, Leeds on August 19th, 2008
Great. A shame that I do not have Sky and don't like Prison Break. Now if five could do that with the CSIs, FX with NCIS (and thus five showing it sooner), ITV3 with Numb3rs then I would be very happy.
Darren, London on August 19th, 2008
Makes sense, they want to make it pointless downloading via a Bitorrent site, by giving a better quality, even HD picture quality and still attract subscribers and maintain ratings.
Greg, Blackpool on August 19th, 2008
If only they would do this for a show that hasn't turned into a steaming pile of ugh. PB hasn't been good since s2 or stellar since s1.
Stuart Britton, Southampton on August 19th, 2008
So you would like us to thank Sky (prop. R Murdoch) for showing Prison Break the next day, would you? Prison Break is distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Televsion (prop. R Murdoch). Hardly a brilliant achievement, is it? Unless you count the bloke who runs Sky (J Murdoch) as being good at talking to his Dad (R Murdoch)
Sarah, Sheffield on August 19th, 2008
Amazing! What a great deal they have done! Now I can't wait to watch the new series. Roll on Sept 2nd!!
Joe, Newport on August 19th, 2008
This is superb news, excellent job Sky1. I am super excited! Prison Break is an excellent show!
Pizzatheaction on August 19th, 2008
The same day would have been better. ;)
Matt, Manchester on August 19th, 2008
Pain in the backside as Jerry says because of all the breaks between episodes. If Prison Break was a british show (yes, it wouldn't be as popular) but we'd have to wait full years for shows but get them in one fail swoop. Perhaps I'm just being old fashioned but I really can wait a year between series!
Samantha, Watford on August 19th, 2008
Great, overdue, news from Sky One. There is no logical reason for us not to get any popular programme more than 24 hours after the US. It can't be that complicated , and should happen more often on more channels.
me on August 19th, 2008
even though i have the full hd pakage with sky i will still download it on the tuesday morning in x264 as i cant stand the amount of ad breaks on sky1
Ken Murphy, Ireland on August 19th, 2008
RTE here in Ireland were doing this last year, and this year with PB and also with Lost & Desperate Housewives.
Dave on August 19th, 2008
"Anyone care to join me in a standing ovation for Sky1?" I would...if Virgin Media hadn't lost the channel!
Jerry, Gatwick on August 19th, 2008
Great stuff, but the downside is that we will have all the gaps of the break for superbowl, the midterm hiatus and the other stuff the US gets, meaning a lot more repeat episodes in between.
Ashley, Perth on August 19th, 2008
Wahey - can we give all C4/E4/more4 shows to sky then???
Shaun Clark on August 19th, 2008
wow thank you sky 1. We prison break fans don't have to wait a week now after its shown in the us. Brilliant news!!
Tobi, Bolton on August 19th, 2008
Fantastic news! I hope its only the beginning!
George, Clifton on August 19th, 2008
For a moment I actually hoped that you were going to say that Sky programmers had developed some taste and wouldn't be picking up the next series. What could I have been thinking?
Trollheart, Dublin on August 19th, 2008
Surely you mean FOURTH season??
Raye, Sussex on August 19th, 2008
Wish they would do the same on other shows (Bones, etc) - PB is not one that I will spend an hour watching! The only way this will come unstuck is with the repeats etc when they have their little breaks so that the 22 ep run lasts until May.
Leigh, Northumberland on August 19th, 2008
Hoorahhhh!!! This is the only way to stop those naughty people downloading it illegally.
Josh, Crewe on August 19th, 2008
WOW! i thought 1 week later was good! other channels take note!
Dee, Leeds on August 19th, 2008
Well done Sky... but unfortunately it's Prison Break. So it's the same as putting the wheelie bin out the day after it's collected. Not the greatest analogy...
Ann Lon on August 19th, 2008
Bravo Sky 1 i've always love you and now my love knows no bounds!!!!!
Sam Vaughan, Bridgend on August 19th, 2008
Finally, Sky1 have done something good!! Brilliant, well done Sky1!!
