First look at Little Britain USA!
Published Tuesday, Sep 2 2008, 06:18 BST | By Neil Wilkes | 28 comments
Here's the first look at the much-anticipated Little Britain USA, which begins a six-week run on HBO in the States on September 28.
The series is written by, and stars, Matt Lucas and David Walliams - and includes many characters from the original series (thankfully still with British accents).
First up, we have Lou and Andy on an American vacation:
Next, a brand new character, former astronaut Bing Gordyn:
Finally, Vicky Pollard makes the trip across the pond for a brat camp experience:
What do you make of Little Britain USA? Does it work? Add your comments to this entry below!

I thought the original concept of LB UK was quite amusing, but like all of these sketch shows, the characters and jokes got stale very quickly. There was perhaps enough material for one series and they should have left it at that. I can't see an American audience warming to it at all though.

This got old pretty quickly in the UK and doubt it'll even stay on air in the US (and I used to love it). They should have sent The Mighty Boosh over instead, that's the kind of comedy we should be exporting not this derivative rubbish.

Sorry but what is the point of this? And who is it aimed at? If Americans are going to like Little Britain at all, then they'll like the original series. I could understand this more if LBUSA was a complete reinvention with an entirely different set of characters and different kind of humour, but it's not. It just like they've imported some American actors into tired sketches which sadly wouldn't look out of place in the godawful Series 3. Pointless ...

Doesnt look as funny as the old series. But we'll see. I dont think the guys should put on an AMerican accent, kind of ruins it.

As an America living in London (19 years), I love American sitoms but I really do enjoy and appreciate the British Humor. I think most Americans will enjoy this!

I never really got Little Britain. Wasn't it just the same six jokes every week? As has been insinuated before, Lou and Andy are just plain dull. Perhaps Lucas and Walliams ran out of ideas long ago. Judging by these awful clips, this show won't be too British, it'll be too furiously tedious. I already feel sorry for the Americans who will watch it.

Not really fussed on the new character very much, but this looks like same old Little Britain which is a mixed thing. One question: who is Tony Tozer? Vicky's mentioned him loads of times.

Those clips look really funny and I hope the series does well in the US. There are many people in the states who appreciate British Humour so hopefully they'll enjoy the series.
