Disappointed that soaps have again such a large part of christmas, but that's what the remote is for - I certainly won't be watching. Also incredibly disappointed in the incredible number of repeats on ITV. What happened to premieres? PoA has already been on this year!
Brenton-Lee Jones, Paignton, Torbay , on December 5th, 2008
There are lots of Eastenders which is really exciting, 4 Hours of The Bill which is my favorite programme of All time and then Gavin And Stacey Special which is funny, the rest are rubbish

Thank god for real life
Steve, London, on December 5th, 2008
Jeez .. why do we bother with license fee .. its always crap over xmas ... perhaps tv channels ought to stop paying their presenters too much money for the rubbish they talk about and use it to buy new programs ?
RJ, Oxford, on December 5th, 2008
And Doctor Who, of course...

I shall probably be sozzled by 9pm anyway so just as well the only thing I really want to see is "A Matter Of Loaf and Death". Bought "Curse Of The Were-Rabbit two weeks ago in Tesco's for £5.
Chris, Sheffield, on December 5th, 2008
Satelliet TV home of dross and Froth. Thank God for Freeview where at least they don't charge you for it.
Andy, Rhyl, on December 5th, 2008
Similar schedules year in year out, soaps should be banned at Christmas, thank goodness for satellite tv where you can escape some of the dross and the froth
Victor, London, on December 5th, 2008
What will I be watching on the box on Christmas Day? Nothing on BBC1 or ITV1's main schedule, that's for sure...
Matt, Uxbridge, on December 4th, 2008
There's Gavin and Stacey, there's Jonathan Creek and there's the return of the Krypton Factor!! But none of it on Christmas day instead we get loads of kiddie films, soaps and 'specials' of tedious dancing shows. The Royle Family and the Blackadder Doc look like the only things worth watching apart from the traditional stuff like TOTP and the greatness that is The Queen.
Shaun, Lancashire, Burnley, on December 4th, 2008
Well it looks like its going to be another boring christmas again, thank god for soaps and my sky HD Box. i will be glad when 24 returns on our screens for day 7 in january something exiting on our screens.
Matt, Cardiff, on December 4th, 2008
Yawn! I'll be tuning into Radio 4 and BBC7 instead - at least they have some proper traditional Christmas offerings!
James, Birmingham, on December 4th, 2008
CRAP!!!!!!!!!
Andrew, Cardiff, on December 4th, 2008
the christmas highlight is surely the jonathan creek return and bbc1 are burying it away on new years day when everyones forgot about christmas. i thought christmas day would have a gavin and stacey for me to enjoy also. now its just dr who, easties and wallace and gromit thats any good. how disappointing
Scudder, Poole, on December 4th, 2008
Yehh -bbc for me . Doctor who's a must. No sign of the new bewitched or blake's7 from sky then
Stuey, Belfast, on December 4th, 2008
Ian in Newcastle, sounds like a darn good plan, well will watch the Dr, but apart from that bring on the tunes and the shiraz!!
Linda, Hampshire, on December 4th, 2008
All I can say is thank goodness for PC games and books. What a load of trash. Fortunately we have Sky Movies and a stack of DVDs to watch, otherwise I wouldn't even bother turning the television on on Christmas Day.
Cy Boes, Kent, on December 4th, 2008
Time to start planning which progs to record on the PVR and which to catch on iPlayer then... BBC One has the edge for me - double Wallace & Gromit, Double EastEnders, Double Doctor Who (well, 2 Doctors anyway!). Looking forward to the Blackadder special, shame it's a retrospective and not a completely new show though - maybe next year? Nothing on ITV1 to tickle my fancy though, although the in-laws may want to see the Ice Dancing - they'd better set their own V+ before coming round then!
Ian, Newcastle, on December 4th, 2008
Well it looks like another night of sitting with the headphones on drinking wine, why, why why all the soap trash?
