yeh that particular couch gag is only gonna get played once because of the HD tribute but i doubt the following ones are gonna be as long. but apart from that, the sequence is great!! good inclusion & representation of characters and some funny moments too (grandpa simpson spittin out his teeth =D )

Well it's about bloody time. A change in title credits (not matter how iconic they are) is not much to ask for. I like it but the bit where the sofa got taken and they had to rescue it kinda dragged on and they should of cut that bit out.

Yes definitely time for a change! I love it! I don't think it loses the feel at all, and great to so many characters in the title sequence. Agree that the end will not normally be this long, it's just to highlight the new HD titles i think. Although I liked the bit with the couch anyway! And hey, it's not like we'll never see the old titles, there are enough repeats shown!

Hehe, it's fun obviously it will end up edited down but nice to keep things fresh. Interesting to note that the "orginal" wasn't the original opening sequence, so stop your griping! (Full length credits hardly get shown these days anyway and The Simpsons has been no exception)

Are people thick?? These titles are one time only. For goodness sake think!! Just showing things in widescreen and HD for the first time. It's a tribute. How the HELL can they use the ORIGINAL TITLES?? They would have to re-animate the whole thing!! Some people!

hmmm, i liked the old one. even with the eps in HD they should have kept the old one for the feel. the old titles are classis. oh, well it's not bad i guess, and i do love the maggie & evil baby part =P as long as the couch gag changes every ep like it used to, and they're not as long as that one, i guess i can live with it. aslong as the episodes keep up to scratch =D

Way too long...and too much, startings should be simple and the detail left for the programme.

One word; WHY?! If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The original opening titles are iconic to The Simpsons. Can't they just be tweaked into HD rather than adding a whole new series of events?

Can't be much of a show left it that's how long the credits take!
