Skins gets a fourth series!

Series 3 was more about sexual exploration and idenity, while 1 and 2 were more about deep issues affecting well being such as death, anorexia, brain damage and teen pregnancies. Series 3 did over exagerate in parts especially with crook, but did still stay serious with the lesbian storyline, whihc kept the series a floar

I fell in love with the characters from skins 1&2, but I LOVE the new cast too!! Cant wait for skins 4!!! Syd and Cassie 4ever!!! Freddie and Effy 4ever!!

I think the only reason people are so discontented about season three and the 'next gen' is because it was a change. Let’s face it people hate change. Overall, I think all three seasons have been really enjoyable. I must say I do miss the Jal and Chris storylines, however I think the fact that characters from the old cast (Effie and Pandora) have been included gives us a sense of the old whilst the show still embraced the new. Here’s hoping that there is a fourth season. I read on a skins facebook page that it wasn’t going ahead. I am not sure if that site was official or just a fan site. But...I cannot find any recent posts regarding season 4 of E4’s site! Does anyone have recent confirmation...Is Skins season 4 really airing In Jan 10?

C'on guysss, how skins 3 is better?? season 3 is so dissapointing compared to the first 2...especially the introduction of the character wasn't very attracting..i remember the intro of the first cast in season 1...it was so cool...it kind of made me glued to this show. Skins 3 sucks already why season 4?

I think that the first two series of skins were awesome, and I'm glad that they finished it there. The last series was OK, but Effy was so much a better character in the first two and so well complemented by cassie!! Looking forward to the fourth but you just can't beat the first two series for originality

No way! Thats amazing! I hated the series 1&2 of skins but when series 3 came out I just couldn't stop watching it. Cook is just H-O-T! Please make cook stay in skins!

YEY! I'm soo glad there is going to be a fourth series! I absolutley love skins (the ones with Jack O'connel in etc...) cannot stop watching the replays LOL! I'm skins obsessed...cannot wait for the new series of skins, soo exited! xD

They're many things in Skins that make it such a desirable show, for me its the unique characters, I preferred this new series because it tackled a rather unique story-line 'JJ' has aspergers and just by showing it, awareness is raised and I have it so I am quite pleased, I do miss Cassie her character always played so well by Hannah Murray. Sid was a all round normal character but, with Tony been better and chris dead, the first cast did ultimately have to be recasted, however I have loved this series, the music the scenes everything is so well put together, I love Effy, and JJ and can't wait for the next series which was annouced to be released a few months ago on the OFFICIAL E4 website :-)

I really liked the skins that has just finished and i think it should keep on running but, i think Mitch Hewer should come back into the series because i have heard from a lot of viewers and my mates that the skins has been rubbish since Mitchy left. I don't really know much about him as the skins that has just finished is the first time i've watched it but on you-tube some people have got some episodes of Mitch Hewer and the old skins before this one and i thought it was better than the skins at the moment. But please DO NOT STOP RUNNING SKINS! It's fantastic, and i think everyone who watches/watched skins would be really upset and gutted if you stopped skins and so would i. Please just think twice and ask people all over the world. e.g. on youtube, the bbc news, newspapers, but please try your hard to ask viewers before stopping it completely. This world won't be any better than it is at the moment if you stop making new skins. Please bring back Mitch Hewer, everyone thinks he's a hotty and well so do i, and he's the best actor out of the whole skins series :D This is from my mate, Hannah, who has an opinion on why skins shouldn't be stopped: They old skins cast was better, i have to agree with Dani that Mitch Hewer was a hotty and well he's has got to come back to the next skins because it's not the same without him. :)

people who say that its unrealistic are wrong, there are people in college even like still at secondary school who get up to that sort of stuff, skins is class i like thomas ;D.he best be in the forth series the endin of series 3 was a bit crap though.

Season 3 of skins has most definatly got to be the best series written to date but more so is one of the best programmes on the box, this has by far been the highlight of my evenings with fun energetic storylines boasting teenage troubles and upsets but overall an insight into how important friends really are. great characters this series, please dont change the again. looking forward to the fourth series hopefully broadcasting early in 2010.

I love this show so much, it's amazing! I missed the old cast in the beginning but now i absolutely love the new one. It's great that the show is returing, but 2010? the waiting is too long =( This series has been over my expectations, i enjoyed every single minute! =D YAY FOR A NEW SEASON !

I'm so happy Skins is back for a fourth series. But am pretty worried about some rumours I've been hearing. The first being that Effy won't be in series 4, and the second being that Cook will dies in this series' finale. These two being my favourite characters, I think the show wouldn't work without them. Anyone know anything about these rumours? x

although skins isnt as good in S3 as S1 + S2, it is still good with good story lines, i cant wait to find out how they end series 3. I hope Cook gets hit by a bus just like Tony did but hopefully it will get rid of him for good... Hopefully, series 4 will bring back some of the old cast, or maybe a christmas special where they return. We need to know if Sid found Cassie, if Tony and Michelle started a long distance relationship, if Maxxie, James and Anwar made it in London and if Sketch hunted them down. PLEASE BRING BACK OLD CAST!!!

I've enjoyed all three series of skins so far, it's gritty, fun and well the stuff about drugs and sex makes the show what it is, it's not a show for children so what's the big deal?? Love every minute of it!!

I think skins series 3 has to be one of the most poorly written shows ive seen in a very long while Poor acting especially early episodes trying to flaunt drinks drugs and sex as much as possible just for the sake of it with no after effects for a show with quite a controversial topic the execution could have been hard hitting, gripping drama however i find myself watching a predictably ridiculous show week after week with no connection to plot or characters Gradually it is progressing as the writers have begun to finally take their time so hopefully 4 will be better ( i doubt it )

Oh my God I'm THRILLED that it's coming back! I much prefer series 3 to either of the first two (watching Sid sitting in his room staring at a poster of Cassie with no background music for an hour, Cassie wandering aimlessly around NY for an hour, dehabilitating the best character Tony for the whole second season purely because they couldn't think of another way to finish the first series - 'oh lets just have him hit by a car' - NO NO NO, that's just not interesting! This series does what people imagined to first two to have done and I couldn't love it more! It's a completely different show now and much more interesting!

While this series has got better week on week, the main characters; those being Effy, Cook and Freddie are awful and dont inspire me to care about them at all. Luckily, the support cast are brilliant and do interest me more. Put more highlight on them, just as Series 2 did with the support cast of Series 1 and please, for the love of everything, DROP the constant glorification of drug use (I assume it was all building to last week as to make the point that constant use leads to attempted murder).

I wasn't too impressed with the first episode of this series. The new characters' introduction seemed a little sloppy and the focus on school life was a bit boring considering the escapist qualities of the first two series. Having said that, from the second episode onwards, the show has picked up speed and has the same great mixture of comedy and intense drama which attracted fans at the programmes' start. Highlights include the brilliant writing surrounding Thomas' episode and his background; the complex relationship between Naomi and one of the twins; and the dark tone, verging on horror motifs, of this week's episode set in the woods. Admitedly the series does have its downsides, including the soap-opera love-shapes involving half the characters, as well as occasionally see-through acting from the cast, considering most are first time actors. Despite these down sides, the series has great momentum and depth, and the episodes never fail to suprise audiences with interesting twists and turns - I'm glad its been renewed for another series!

I have just an unhealthy love for Skins! It's simply an amazing show and I'm glad to see it return for a fourth series! Series 3 is just as good as the first two series, I'm sick of peole saying it's bad, I mean give the new characters a chance!

i admit i was actually surprised by how much i like this series of skins i thought it would be way worse than the last 2 series, but i think i may even prefer it, perhaps just because i love effy :) and freddie is LUSH but the characters are all different from the characters the last two seasons, so i don't really compare the two generations against each other but i actually think effy's episode was the best one ever. and the soundtrack was GREAT

Im glad its back for a fourth season-this one has been great and i think they still have so much to explore with this cast. (Btw the ratings for this series on average have been better than season 2 by about 200,000+)
