Does anyone know if there are any plans to repeat Ashes to Ashes series 1, either on TV or digital tv on demand?

been looking forward to s2! the 80's action cop's n robber's drama throw back is all good stuff. And with the Quatro, they lads Ray & Chris I have always thought of as akin to Starsky 'n' Hutch - I reckon their's a new UK show there somewhere!

I LOVE PHILLIP GLENISTER!

Ooh I can't wait! I for one preffered Ashes to Ashes to Life on Mars. The writing was a bit dodgy to begin with and poor Keeley Hawes got all the blame for some reason but by the end of the series it was AMAZING! Plus Phillip had more screen time in A2A so I don't know how people are complaining abouth that! I think the only reason some people didn't like Keeley was the fact that she's not John Simm! I for one actually prefer her!

I won't be watching it as I thought the first series was horrendously bad. Phillip Glennister deserves better than this: he’s been in the business for about twenty years and he deserves to headline a show, not have that awful woman stealing his screen time.

Really looking forward to it. A great show, which is made even greater by a superb soundtrack. Roll on April 21!

Am I looking forward to having Ashes back? Is a very small nun at a penguin shoot ever so slightly nervous? I loved S1 for its glorious 80s silliness, gut-wrenching high drama (episode 8, anyone?) and the spine-tingling double act that was Phil and Keeley. I absolutely CANNOT wait for S2 - feel like I've just done 13 months of hard time waiting for it!

Looks awesome! Like Alex's new hair, not so sure about Chris'... Excellent Drake/Hunt chemistry, as ever.

Loved the trailer! At last the waiting is nearly over for an excellent piece of TV drama. If in any doubt the critics need only watch Demons.

Sadly Ashes to Ashes was one of the biggest television disappointments, ever. Life on Mars was such a wonderful, funny, sweet, exciting, tense and intelligent program and I continue to watch it regularly on DVD. I adored Gene Hunt and was so glad he was back (sadly without Sam) but then I watched. Through my fingers. With a look of horror on my face. Gone was everything that made it special, Gene Hunt was now just a characterture of his former self, Ray and Sam relegated to comic relief and nothing more, gone was the sweet, caring and lovable Annie to be replaced by a cardboard cuttout and worst of all, we had Alex. A woman so utterly repugnant and charmless that she made me turn off. Not a single redeeming feature was to be found in her one dimensional character that I gave up after a couple of episodes. I went back to watch the final episode but sadly nothing had changed. Simply awful. I urge everyone to buy the Life on mars boxsets and watch that instead.
