Great news! hope they make it really dramatic and really sad when david leaves - really hope donna will meet the doctor again it will be like Dae ja Vu as she won't remeber them meeting before (sooo sad!) :'(

Watching the reruns on Beeb 3, Bernard Cribbins is head and shoulders over the rest of the supporting cast - for him to continue being the companion into the next series would be excellent
camfan on April 12th, 2009
here's hoping donna is back too.
Chloe, Sussex on April 11th, 2009
Awesome. I bet the doctor will regenerate in his arms or something. That would be so sad. :(
Steve, Kettering on April 10th, 2009
I think it is an excellent idea the way the grandfather character was acted and written, he was always looking at the stars and now if this is true he will get a chance to travel with the doctor even if it is only for 2 episodes, well done Russell what a brilliant way to finish,
Jason, West Mids on April 10th, 2009
could wilf be the master, nahh only joking

hmm, i dont know where i stand, i like him and all but i just dont think it would be great to watch, im all for bringing him back for the end, just not as a 'companion'? we need a sexy woman! bringing donna back aswell is just great, loved her!

Brilliant! Just Brilliant! FYI Jeremy from Leicester, not all of us knew this! Though I did know that CT was gonna be back :)
Mark, UK on April 9th, 2009
Let's hope he stays on a bit into the eleventh doctor era - it'd be great to have a companion that was just that, a companion, and not the RTD-era style of '"ill they, won't they"
David, Manchester on April 9th, 2009
Great stuff. Please let this mean we see the return of Donna! It has to happen - surely?!
Helen, Scunthorpe on April 9th, 2009
the sexual chemistry between them will simply sparkle and crackle! i hope for sexy results!
Alex, Essex on April 9th, 2009
Love this Idea about the Grandfather coming back and having a main role In the show. Rumors are that some of the old Characters may be returning but don't hold me on that. No doubt It will be a brilliant special as you Russuell T. Davis behind It.
Jamie, Tongham on April 9th, 2009
WOW! that is great lets just hope that the running and action scenes are not that badly changed but it should be good cuz wilf has so much energy when on screen =]
Andy Holland, Merseyside on April 9th, 2009
Absolutely fantastic news! Bernard Cribbins was superb last season! Here's hoping Russel can pull it out of the bag again to give David the send off he deserves!

Delighted to see Wilf back. Loved that character and longed for him to get a ride in the TARDIS.
jw darwen on April 9th, 2009
weyheyy good to see him back!
Adam, Zurich on April 9th, 2009
Fan-bloody-tastic...... A good way f bringing Donna in for the Finale as well.
GP, Darwen on April 9th, 2009
Whooohoo! I love Wilf :D Jeremy - Maybe DS didn't want to land outrageous spoilers on people? Think of that?
James, Essex on April 9th, 2009
Fantastic. Absolutly Fantastic. Wilf was great and to see BC aboard the TARDIS is great. I think the finale will revolve around the Doctor giving Donna her memory back and therefor regenerating.
Matt on April 9th, 2009
Cribbins is awesome! He made the Season 4 finale for me.
Chris, Digital Spy on April 9th, 2009
Eeeeeeee! I am very excited!
Jordan, Surrey on April 9th, 2009
Absolutely brilliant companion. Finally he's gonna get a trip in the Tardis. Legend
Sarah, Glasgow on April 9th, 2009
And my reaction is - *squee* It's only right that Wilf is the companion really, since he's been in most (if not all, I can't remember) of the Christmas Specials - this will be a brilliant nod to that. Also - good excuse for Donna to be there (Y/Y)?
Melanie, Hertfordshire on April 9th, 2009
i think that is a fab idea, i like him, he has been in it already, understands how the doctor works and would be a great assett
Jeremy, Leicester on April 9th, 2009
Old news DS. You also seemed to have missed the fact that Catherine Tate is back along with the Master (John Simms).
Gareth, Manchester on April 9th, 2009
Yay! Good choice. He looks sexy in a skirt as well.
Anna, Cardiff on April 9th, 2009
Does this mean Catherine Tate will be back for them too? Hope so, she was fab!!
