Remember that remake of The Prisoner that we told you about last year? The latest word is that it's likely to be November before we get to see it, but US station AMC has already started the long-tease. Click 'play' below to watch the tiniest of tiny trailers:

AMC make some of the best TV shows (Mad Men, Breaking Bad) at the moment, so I wouldn't lose all hope. The original is a tough one to better or even equal though.

Some things are better being left in the past. The Prisoner is one of them. 15% as good as the original is generous I would imagine...

It's going to be about 15% as good as the original. Dumb idea remaking it.

Here we go again! Yet another brilliant series that is best left alone to be enjoyed for what it was, now being remade for a "new generation". I'm sorry, but apart from the new Doctor Who (which is OK some of the time but NOT on every occasion), EVERY former hit from the 60s, 70s, or 80s that has been "re-made" or "re-imagined" has been a total FAILURE. This series will FAIL, big time!!! The new producers should throw in the towel and resign now. Do the words "cancelled mid or after just one season" conjure up any memories here? (Read this post in 12 months time and see whether I'm right)!
