I'm with Nav on this one - i love SG1 and Atlantis, but i really don't fancy this at all. One of the trailers i've seen makes it look more like a film than a series, and maybe it would've been better off that way. They would've been better off breathing new life into Atlantis by using this storyline, instead of creating a brand new series with all new characters. I'm sorry Robert Carlyle, but you'll be no Rodney McKay.

I love how all TV sci fi is treated with respect now. Political allegories, sexual interest, pessimism. BG let chaos into filming SF, documentary style camerawork taking the sheen off the always squeaky clean CGI. I still love 60s Trek though; can't imagine a utopian sci fi series getting off the ground these days.

I think this looks spectacular. I'm very excited to see the premiere. I've only been a "casual admirer" of Stargate before now, but this show has got me really amped. I can't wait!
