First Take Results: ITV2's Trinity

Published Saturday, Sep 26 2009, 21:51 BST | By Neil Wilkes | 20 comments
Last week on the TV Poll, we asked for your first impressions of ITV2's new drama Trinity (take your pick from these possible accompanying adjectives: teen, sexy, intriguing, mysterious, ambitious, shocking).

The results are now in - and it seems your opinion is split. Around three in ten voters said they loved the show, with a further two in ten agreeing to return for episode two on the condition that Christian Cooke sheds his clothing (again).

An ambivolent sixth of you said you might tune in if there's nothing else on, while a similar number were resolute in the show's awfulness. The remaining fifth of you didn't even bother tuning in.

Trinity is like a sexed up Harry Potter. I think it's hilarious and am already addicted! Christian Cooke really hams it up as an upper class twit with a narcissus complex. Isabella Calthorpe also adds to the attraction. Great stuff!

I love Trinity!! One of the best shows on tv on sundays. Can't wait to see how the story unfolds! All the cast are brilliant and make the show the hit that it is!! Hope they keep making more of Trinity!!! xx

I really love Trinity. It's a really great show and i can't wait to see episode 3 on Sunday! I love Christian Cooke (Dorian) & Antonia Bernath (Charlotte) they are my fave characters on the show. Dorian is so posh and in love with himself and Charlotte so meek and quiet. Surprisingly, they actually make a good couple! I'm kinda hoping that Dorian & Charlotte will get together again as they just seem to really click!!! I'll be buying the DVD when it comes out on 9 November, only one day after the finale!!! Can't wait for that!!! xxx

Bloody wonderful, enjoyed every minute, can't wait for next Sunday. At last something worth watching before the next week's grind.

Watched the first five minutes of episode one via the sky+ yesterday, yes only five minutes as I couldn't take anymore. Bad acting, bad scripting, and there maybe a good reason why this was cancelled from it's original ITV2 March transmission date for the Paris Hilton BBF nonsense- it's really bad!

The short answer to Daniel Erskine's question is that the writer of this piece is trying to obscure the fact that the overwhelming majority of viewers liked the show.

Why don't you present the figures properly? Three-tenths plus two-tenths plus one fifth plus one-sixth (1.66 tenths) + one sixth (1.66 tenths) does not equal ten but 10.32. If you did your sums correctly, your "ambivalent" (please note spelling) and "resolute" categories can only come to three shares between them. Those who did not watch can have no legitimate view, so the figures are to be taken from the 8/10 who did. Those who thought it was awful comprise 18.75% (1.5/8). Those who might watch again were 18.75% (1.5/8). Those who either loved it or would watch again were 62.5% (5/8). And they all add up to 100%. Those who loved it or would watch again outnumber those who hated it by 3 to 1 with the balance of voters (18.75%) as possible viewers. You should really attempt a proper presentation of the results instead of twisting the figures.

As usual ITV have failed to make decent drama. A good idea pooly executed by piss poor writing and directing, just like Demons

It's terrible - that's why I love it!

What a waste of money and talent. Must have been written by an unusually immature teen!

Why not just give the percentages instead of being so damn confusing?
