Not content with threesomes, drug-taking and shock deaths - all unrelated, of course - The CW are adding a new string to their teen angst bow with midseason drama Life UneXpected.

So, what's it all about? In a nutshell, the series follows Lux (Brittany Robertson), a teenager who goes in search of her birth parents (Kristoffer Polaha and Shiri Appleby) only to find they're not quite what she expected. In fact, they're young, immature, and in desperate need of learning some parenting skills. In keeping with the teen theme, Dawson's Creek's Kerr Smith also stars as Ryan Thomas, a friend/lover of Lux's mother.

As you may have already heard, UneXpected will be shaking up the US schedules in 2010, forcing Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill to go on hiatus. But does the new series warrant causing such a commotion? Hit 'play' below to find out for yourselves!
