'Lost' but found

By Neil Wilkes, Editor
Doreen Eaton: "What's the surname of Alistair....who made a Big Impression on T.V?"
Neil: Doreen, take note: I answer serious television enquiries only - I do not provide answers for the Daily Star crossword.
Aaron: "On Sky Digital, what channel number is FX?"
Neil: Well, we're improving slightly. Try 270. Or just scrolling your EPG in future - you'll find it's much quicker than asking me.
Luke Ridgway: "I thought Teenage Tourette's Camp was brilliant it showed the kids in such a way that i dont think has ever been protrayed on the TV before! I would like to donate money to the cause - can you help me?"
Neil: More than happy to: To donate, contact the Tourette Syndrome (UK) Association on 0845 3309 829 or via tsa.org.uk. Glad you enjoyed the show; I'd received emails from quite a few of you before it aired expressing concern over how the kids would be portrayed. From the interaction I had with ITV over the show, they were likewise concerned that it came across the right way in the press.
Manps: "Can you please tell me when season 2 of Lost will be shown in the UK?"
Neil: The original plan was to bring it back when BB7 wraps in August but now I'm hearing it could be back in June. But still an unhealthy delay, given how the first season finale ends...
Daniel: "I thought the new festive episode of 'Doctor Who' was one of the best yet! Any news on when the new series is airing?"
Neil: I'd have to agree with you - although the new Doc had a fairly easy time of it, don't you think? Not long to go for the new series - expect it in March.
Random observation: Am I alone in noticing similarities to The 4400's theme in Muse's 'Time Is Running Out'?
Buster: "When will the Paul O' Grady Show return?"
Neil: March, I'm told. But if they had any sense, they'd ditch Richard Hammond sooner rather than later.
Francesca: "Are Channel 4 planning to do another series of Sugar Rush?"
Neil: Yes - expect the Spring.
Chris Rushworth: "Do you know if BBC have any plans to show any old Doctor Who episodes?"
Neil: No, they don't. Although you can find an abundance over on UKTV Gold.
Paula: "Could someone please tell me if taking Family Affairs off is because of too few viewers what ever are they doing putting on Joey that must only have one viewer if they are lucky whats the next excuse!"
Neil: Yes, ratings is the key. As for the replacement, look at it this way: it's much cheaper for them to use the slot to air something they've already purchased (for an albeit ridiculous price) - or even, a non-archive acquired series - than pay for an original flop.
Jade: "Whatever happened to Point Pleasant? It got cut short during the 1st series and has not yet returned. Any idea of when it will be back on? Also when is series 2 of Desperate Housewives due on?"
Neil: Never, is the answer: it was axed after just thirteen episodes had been produced. I'll admit I never watched beyond the pilot, so it may have improved, but from what I saw (I fell asleep several times attempting to watch it) it was just dire. Season 2 of the Housewives begins in just over a week on Channel 4. Do write in and let me know what you all think of the new season.
miss-m: "Hi Neil, hope you had a good Christmas break. Do you have any idea if (and when) More4 will be showing any more seasons of The Sopranos? I was drawn to the fact that they were showing from the very beginning and now I am hooked I need more!! Also, my mum got me watching Everwood and now I am begging for information on Colin - Did he survive??? Are there any more seasons to be shown on ITV1???"
Neil: No more Sopranos just yet; from Monday reruns of Six Feet Under take over the slot. As for Everwood, there will be more on ITV1 but no date on that yet. If you're sure you really want to know what happens to Colin, select the text to the left: He dies on the operating table. And it seems Andy is being held responsible...
James: "Any idea when season 5 of 24 starts? I know the US version kicks off in January with a double bill. Any plans to launch the UK version like that?"
Neil: The "UK version" - now there's a thought. Season 5 begins Sunday, February 12 at 9pm on Sky One. As I understand it, the premiere will air as a two-hour special but then it's back to 60-minute episodes after that (episodes 3 and 4 will also air back-to-back in the US, the night after the premiere).
Yajucita: "I want to know when Prison Break offered by FOX will be continuing again as I only have until episode 13."
Neil: The current plan is Monday, March 20. Torturous, no?
Melanie: "In your latest edition of Tube Talk, you noted that Supernatural & Prison Break begin this month, any specifics on which exact date? And do you know if Supernatural will air sometime on ITV1?"
Neil: Yes, I can finally confirm the premiere dates for the two best new shows of the season: Prison Break airs on Five every Monday at 10pm from January 23 while Supernatural goes out on ITV2, Sundays at 9pm from January 22. The latter has been slotted for Mondays at 11pm on ITV1 from January 23.
Stacey: "hiya do u work in a hairdress cauase i think i no you but i am not sure plz wirte back to me"
Neil: We're only one week into 2006 but already there's tough competition for this year's message of the year. If you've spotted me out and about anywhere else, please do write in. See you again next Saturday!
