By Neil Wilkes, Editor
Gary Wilkie: "Excellent column. Any news on Two and a half Men series 3. I'm guessing nightly on Paramount from about July if last year is anything to go by. Do you know more?"
Neil: I do! Season three kicks off with a double bill at 9pm on May 1st.
Mark: "Hi Neil, well done for writing the best column on the Web! I just wanted to ask what the ratings were like for Poor Little Rich girls (a very underrated reality show) and if ITV have recommissioned it for a new series. Also a few editions ago, you said Ratings Roundups would be back but they've yet to appear, so are they coming back? Any feedback would be much appreciated!"
Neil: ITV appears to have faith in that show so it wouldn't be surprising to see it recommissioned. And you should be pleased to learn that the ratings roundups finally returned earlier this week.
Julia Shubrook: "I'm so happy to hear Lost is back so soon & i've just heard that Supernatural has been picked up for a second season in the States... any idea when it would air here? and probably on ITV2 again, right?"
Neil: It hasn't been picked up for a second yet, although it probably will. If it does, ITV2 will be its UK home.
Hannah Livingstone: "I'm loving Grey's Anatomy on Five, just wondered if they plan to go straight into season 2 which is airing in the US right now or if we'll have to wait for a few months after episode 9?"
Neil: More than a few months, I'm guessing. Living TV apparently has the first-run rights to future seasons, so you can expect to see season two there first later this summer.
Linzi: "Any good 'Prison Break' scoop for the upcoming episodes?"
Neil: Select to the right to reveal.... In this week's episode, the escape plan is thwarted and the prisoners have to retreat - but the plans are only temporarily on hold. Look out for a great episode in a couple weeks that explains how each of the inmates came to be in Fox River in the first place. Meanwhile, LJ's landing himself some jail time and the brothers' father reappears...
Stephanie Law: "i have been watching shipwrecked 2006 and am lovin it.. i have look but cant see anything saying how you can apply to b a contestant in the 2007 series... i would love to enter and was woundering if you could let me know some information if possible."
Neil: Keep your eyes on T4 in the weeks ahead for application details.
Neil: "Do you know if Channel 4 plans to air further episodes of NYPD Blue? I believe it has now finished in the US, but we were a few series behind and it would be good to see its conclusion."
Neil: As you may have already seen, the final three seasons will air on More4 beginning May 8.
D-Roc: "Ok, great news that Lost is back on May 2nd (well done digital spy for breaking this news first!). I was just wondering whether the rumours of a triple bill to open the show is true, with the first 2 episodes being on C4 and then the 3rd episode being on E4's first look, similar to how season 1 kicked off? Any confirmation on this?"
Neil: Confirmed!
Lee: "Hi Neil; just wondering is there any update on Joey series to in the U.K, will it be shown on five if so when does it start? Also did the ratings pick up in the USA?"
Neil: No, and he was cut short well before the second season wrapped. Since Five has paid so much for the show, it won't be shelved but there's still no word as to when it will air.
Chris Rushworth: "Will Sarah Jane Smith and K9 be in any other episodes of Doctor Who after School Reunion?"
Neil: Not this series but the door is certainly left open for both to return. I was fairly disappointed by School Reunion however, I must say. Although there are a lot of "resolving" things and nostalgic touches in there to please the fans (the Doc introduces himself as John Smith, for example), the storyline - and conclusion - itself is pretty weak.
Claire Moon: "Hi Neil! Can you tell me if the US mini series 'Sleeper Cell' will be aired on any other channels in the UK. Its currently on FX but I can't get that channel. :-("
Neil: Looks like you need to upgrade your package, Claire...
Graeme: "Hi Neil, Any news yet on Invasion's chances of being renewed for a second season?"
Neil: It could go either way at the moment. My vote would be 'no'.
Rach: "Fantastic to hear that How I Met Your Mother is finally going to get an airing over here on BBC3 - any plans for BBC2 to follow at a later date? This is a great sitcom and everyone deserves to see it!"
Neil: Yes - BBC Two has got the terrestrial rights to this show.
Neil Mandam: "Hi Neil, I wondered if you knew if anyone has any plans to show or is already showing the series Ghost Whisperer."
Neil: E4 will air the show first from the summer, then abc1 will air it from next January.
James: "Heya Neil, any news on if Hex will return to Sky One with a 3rd series?"
Neil: I'm told that a new series hasn't been commissioned yet, but that's not to say that it won't be. Its recent pickup in the US does strengthen its chances, but it doesn't look good.
That's all for this week. Do keep an eye on DS for special reports over the coming week as I'll be live in New York for the Tribeca Film Festival. More Tube Talk next weekend!
