Charles: "With the ratings of Everwood only being so-so, could that hamper the release of seasons 3-4? And will they ever release a region 2 DVD?"
Neil: As I understand it, only seasons one and two have been picked up in the UK. It could affect the possibility of season three but for ITV, it is a very cheap way of filling an hour. At the same time, it does contribute to lowering the share for ITV1 overall - so it's a trade-off. With its loyal following however, it could work out well for ITV3.
Paul: "Hi Neil - great column. Any news on when the full DVD boxset for series 2 of Lost will be released? I feel cheated out of my money if I buy these 2 part sets - what a ripoff."
Neil: No date is set yet, although I'd imagine it will be before Christmas.
Robert: "I enjoy your feature on DS every week - whenerver it comes out. I would like to know if you have anything on how the new Adult Swim block on Bravo has been doing and if you have anything on Torchwood?"
Neil: It depends on the day but in general it seems to draw around 5,000 viewers. Maybe with time and word of mouth the audience will build but it's not a brilliant start. I should have some gossip on Torchwood for you in a few weeks.
F_A: "I am intrigued by ITVs new drama "Fallen Angel". Is there any more known about the developmental plots of this great sounding drama, other than just a basic premisce of what it is about?"
Neil: I bet you are. Well the series is based on the Roth Trilogy of novels by Andrew Taylor so you could always check them out for a sneak preview. But reading is wrong, people.
Dean Steele: "Hi Neil. Is there a third season of Medium planned yet? I'm hopeful this one will come back on our screens next year, as I've really enjoyed the first and second series!"
Neil: There is a third season, although it's being kept back until midseason (January) in the US.

Up for the taking this week are three copies of the complete first season of BBC/HBO epic
Rome on DVD, which is being released in advance of the second (and final) season early next year.

Chris: "Hi Neil, Loving the column as ever, have you any idea what the schedule is for the Edinburgh TV Festival public screenings, in particular what day/times Studio 60 will be on at, and if it's the full pilot or a smaller preview"
Neil: It's still tentative so I would wait another couple weeks before making any plans to head up there but the provisional dates/times I have are as follows:
Respectable - Friday, Aug 25 @ 3.15pm
Lovespring International - Saturday, Aug 26 @ 11am
Studio 60 - Saturday, Aug 26 @ 5pm
Entourage (season one) - Sunday, Aug 27 @ 11.30am
Justice - Sunday, Aug 27 @ 1pm
Aidan: "Great Column Neil, I was just wondering why Futurama has dissappered from Sky One, Two and Three? Do you know why and will it be shown again?"
Neil: Its frequency is diminishing, sure, probably because there are only a handful of episodes to choose from. It does return to the schedule in the first week of August, however, but its timings are sporadic at best.
David Jennings: "I see the BBC have begun showing trailers for the new series of Dragons Den do you know when it will be returning?"
Neil: Next Thursday at 8pm.
Claudia: "Hi, loving your column. Any idea when new episodes of Hope and Faith will come to abc1?"
Neil: The third season airs in double-bills, Thursdays at 9pm from September 7.
Julie: "where is nicki chapman living iam here her fan and i would like to meet her."
Neil: I'm sure she'd like to meet you too so I'll make sure your request is passed on to the right people.
Mike: "How did this weeks episode of Sinchronicty fare ratings wise?"
Neil: Around 300,000 went back for episode 2 on Sunday.

This week I had a very cosy chat with Jemima Rooper, star of
Sinchronicity, As If and the dearly departed
Hex.
You can read the full transcript of the interview (plus the long-overdue Kevin Weisman chat) once my merry band of chipmunks have done their thing, but click

Divv: "Are the Emmys going to be shown in the UK this year?"
Neil: Yes - pride of place on Living TV 2, August 28 at 9pm.
Kate: "Heard a nasty rumour that Commander In Chief and Invasion have been cancelled in the US??? Will we get the second series of them?!"
Neil: Shame on you Kate. Really, shame on you.
Alex: "Hi Neil, i love reading the column every thursday, can you tell me the normal ratings for E4 during big brother live streaming? I've always wondered exactly how many people watch housemates sleeping at 4am!"
Neil: It varies from day to day, but you can often get upwards of 15,000 people still tuned in at 4am.
Stephen Hogg: "I haven't heard any mention of the Into The West mini-series for a while, the last I heard the BBC had bought it to show in the UK, but no sign of it yet...any news on when it will appear??"
Neil: BBC Two later this autumn.
James Marson: "I'm a regular viewer of The Daily Show on More4. How many other viewers are there in the both the UK and the US?"
Neil: It varies, but over the last few weeks it's averaged around 35,000.
Joanna: "When I was in the States last week there was a lot of advertising for Kyle XY and I heard it was really good. Has a UK channel picked it up and if so when will it be aired?"
Neil: Unfortunately it hasn't been picked up yet. But I am totally obsessed with this show right now so hopefully it's just a matter of time.

Jane Hall: Next week's episode is probably the best yet, with a plot involving Jane's bus being hijacked by two escaped female convicts. In the background we have Richard gearing up to ask Jane to marry him as Rob worries about his own feelings. Bubbling under the surface there are tensions between Helen (the lesbian bus driver) and nasty Barry, which take a very sinister turn at the end of the episode. Jane Hall airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ITV1Desperate Housewives: One of the "leads" is being killed off in a new hostage storyline in the next season, it emerged this week. Apparently Lynette will be present, as will three or four other main characters. My suspicion is that it will be one of the "three or four other main characters" that bites the bullet, so to speak.Desperate Housewives airs on C4 from January 2007Lost season 3: From characters being murdered to characters being discovered - and next season on Lost there will be at least three new additions to the cast. The first is Elizabeth Mitchell, who will play Juliet, one of the mysterious "Others" and a new love interest for Jack. Also joining is Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro as a "handsome yet mysterious" islander. Aaaand.. we're finally going to learn why Locke was in the wheelchair.Send your requests for shows to be featured in the Spoiler Spot to the usual place.
That's all for this week - more next Thursday!
