Suits: Tuesday at 9pm on Dave
Yes, this might be on Dave, but it's not a repeat! The channel's picked up American comedy drama Suits - but what's it about? Well, Mike Ross might be a smart lad, but he's also a college dropout. Running from a drug bust, he ends up hiding in a New York law firm where - whaddya know - he's hired. With his new mentor Harvey, it's time to get to work. Will Suits change your life? Honestly, probably not. Will it provide an entertaining hour or so of television? Quite possibly. You might as well give it a go, anyway - it's already been renewed for a second season Stateside.

Sons of Anarchy: Wednesday at 10pm on 5USA
The fourth season of this superior US drama makes its UK debut this week. In the season premiere, Jax (Charlie Hunnam), Clay (Ron Perlman) and the other SAMCRO members are released from prison after 14 months inside and discover that things have changed in their hometown of Charming. We'd recommend sticking with Sons of Anarchy - this latest run won rave reviews on the other side of the pond and features guest spots from Machete star (and professional tough guy) Danny Trejo and - believe it or not - David Hasselhoff, who plays porn guru Dondo in the fifth episode!

Mad Dogs: Thursday at 9pm on Sky1
If you enjoyed the first series of Mad Dogs - and lots of you did - you'll be pleased to hear it's back for a brand new series this week! But what's going on? Well, excitingly we pick up right where we left off, so we don't want to give too much away. But there's no doubt that you can expect lots more sticky situations, bizarre moments and maybe even a trip to Ibiza. Oh my goodness. Philip Glenister told us recently that it's become a "bit of a road movie" and, what's more, a third series is apparently on the way. Exciting!

The Big C: Thursday at 10pm on More4
Once you've finished watching The Good Wife at 9pm (which is well worth doing, by the way), stay tuned to More4 - the second series of The Big C is coming! Yes, it's time to catch up with Cathy and the rest of the gang. When we meet Cathy again, she's trying to get accepted into a clinical trial, while Paul's doing his best with the whole supportive father thing. Elsewhere, Adam's coming to terms with his mum's diagnosis and Sean's trying to cope with the fact that he's going to be a daddy! This show is bittersweet and heartwarming at the same time - worth a watch.

Birdsong: Sunday at 9pm on BBC One
A beautifully-shot adaptation of Sebastian Faulks's 1993 novel that is well worth 90 minutes of your time. This two-part drama - adapted by The Hour scribe Abi Morgan - stars My Week With Marilyn's Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Wraysford, a young man who pursues a doomed romance with the beautiful Isabelle (Clémence Poésy). Years later, Stephen faces the horrors of war as a Lieutenant in the British Army. Powerful, moving and superbly acted, Birdsong is a must-see.
