'Supernatural', 'Fresh Meat', 'Castle': Tube Talk Q&A

By and Daniel Sperling
You know the score, it's another Tube Talk Q&A, which means another healthy dose of UK air-dates for your favourite US shows - there's some good and bad news on that front - plus the usual batch of teasers, hints and spoilers!

Read on for some scoop on Supernatural, Castle, Fresh Meat, Hit and Miss and more!

Wasn't Don Cheadle's House of Lies supposed to air on Sky Atlantic this summer? No sign of it.

Yep, when it was first announced that Sky had picked up the UK rights to Cheadle's Showtime series - which also stars Kristen Bell and Ben Schwartz - a summer airdate was indeed targeted...

However, it's now been confirmed that there's been a bit of a shift in the schedules, so House of Lies will now make its UK debut in the autumn, with an exact date still to be confirmed. On the plus side, the show's already been renewed for a second season, so you've at least got plenty of episodes to look forward to!

Feels like we have been waiting forever for season seven of Supernatural. Any confirmed airdate for the UK fans yet?

Alright, you caught us - we recycled this question from a couple of weeks back, but for a very good reason - we finally have some solid info on the Supernatural front!

Sam and Dean Winchester's latest adventures will debut on Sky Living in "early August", it has been confirmed. Alright, so this does mean that we UK folk will be watching season seven at roughly the same time that US residents are enjoying season eight, but at least we get to see the new episodes at last.

Any news on what's to come in Fresh Meat series two?

If there's one show that pops up in our virtual mailbox practically every week, it's Fresh Meat - you guys are obsessed. As it happens, we do have a little bit of scoop to dish out this week - you can't say we don't look after your needs...

Plot details for series two are being kept locked up in a vault more secure than Paul Lamb's bedroom, but we can confirm that The Fades star Sophie Wu and Dutch actress Jelka van Houten have both landed roles on the show. Hope that helps, at least a little, with the long wait til September.

When will season three of Hawaii Five-0 start on Sky1?

The current word on this show's third season is that it will debut in January 2013 - we know, six months seems like too long to wait to reunite with McGarrett and co!

But on the bright side, there's plenty to look forward to once Hawaii Five-0 does eventually return. Michelle Borth (McGarrett's love interest Catherine) has been made a full-time cast member and the show will also be introducing our handsome lead's mother Doris McGarrett (Christine Lahti) - the one woman that Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) fears!

Any news on when Castle will return to our screens?

Castle cast shot

We've got a little bit of an update for you since we revealed last month that Castle has been bumped from Channel 5 for the ongoing series of Big Brother and the new Celebrity Big Brother that will start immediately afterwards.

Unfortunately we still haven't got an exact return date from Channel 5, but they have said that they don't think Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic will be back on our screens until 2013. So, sorry about that, Castle fans - we know that most of you aren't too happy about the show being bullied out of the way for that big magnet of controversy known as BB. Hopefully this brand spanking new Digital Spy chat with Nathan will be some sort of consolation.

There's better news though if you're a US Castle fan. As one of our lovely readers helpfully pointed out in the comments section, a fifth season was ordered by ABC in May and will air Mondays at 10pm from the fall.

When will season two of Franklin and Bash be on E4?

If, like us, you've been so desperate for a Mark-Paul Gosselaar fix that you've practically worn out your old Saved by the Bell tapes, then great news!

E4 have confirmed that they hold the rights to Franklin and Bash's second season and have it tentatively scheduled in for an August premiere. That's ten more episodes of top-quality lawyering from Zack Morris himself and Breckin Meyer before the summer's out. Hopefully.

What are the chances of Hit and Miss getting a second series? Was it always intended to be one standalone series?

We certainly hope that we'll get to see more of Chloë Sevigny's transexual assassin (in a perfectly legit way, we mean). Hit and Miss was a stunning show that turned a potentially gimmicky and exploitative premise into something wonderful, so we definitely want to see that second series.

Sky Atlantic told us that a decision has yet to be made about the future of the show, but they note that it "has been critically acclaimed, and viewers have really taken to it", so that's a promising start. In the meantime, you could always slip on the newly-released season one box set, which we singled out as one of this month's top TV DVD and Blu-ray releases.

Do you have any questions for the Tube Talk Q&A? Post them in the box below!
