Copyright: ABCMad Men star Elisabeth Moss's BBC project Top of the Lake will hopefully finally arrive on screens, alongside Gillian Anderson's equally-delayed BBC Two thriller The Fall.
Kevin Bacon's The Following, arriving on Sky Atlantic and Fox, is a must-watch, and NBC's TV version of Hannibal can't be ignored, purely to see how Mads Mikkelsen handles the lead role.
Kevin Spacey's House of Cards is probably the most hyped new show on our list and will be of particular interest as it breaks from tradition and airs only on Netflix. It will be available to watch for viewers in one single sitting if they so wish - will anyone be gripped enough to do it?
Meanwhile, two new big-budget, star cast Showtime dramas Masters of Sex and Ray Donovan look well worth keeping an eye out for. Hopefully a UK broadcaster will snap both up so that British TV fans don't miss out.
