Better slightly late than not at all, eh?

Debs: "Hi, do you know if Trouble will be showing the remainder of season 2 of Kyle XY or will we have to wait for BBC to get round to it?"
Neil: Season two is being shown in two halves because that's the way it aired in the US (the second half actually concluded around a month ago). One would expect this second half to air on Trouble in due course, but guess what? I'm hearing that the channel has given up on the show and won't be picking up any more episodes.
Tom Linton: "Hey. I am over in New Zealand at the moment and have caught a few episodes of Life, the new NBC drama. It's really great. Any idea when ITV are going to start showing it in the UK?"
Neil: The eleven-episode first season - NBC has already given the thumbs up to a second, by the way - will play out on ITV3 this summer, then air on FX (and the highly-anticipated FXHD!) from next January.
Tim: "OK, so I know I'm ten years behind everyone else, but I've been quite enjoying watching DS9 unfold every day on Virgin 1 over the past 8 months. So I'm a bit miffed that, after the cliffhanging finale of season 5, it's disappeared from the schedules! Any ideas on why - and more importantly if it's coming back...? Loving your work, btw!"
Neil: This bizarre scheduling move has riled a very large number of people, it seems. And the response from Virgin 1's scheduling department? "The remaining series will play out in the Autumn." So there we have it.
Sarah Jane: "Any news yet on The Palace? If not, any idea when as it has been a while since it ended?"
Neil: The axe has now been officially wielded, not only on The Palace, but also reality favourite Ladette To Lady.
Robbie: "Hey, just wondering if you knew when the new series of Shipwrecked starts?"
Neil: Three months later than usual, the new series kicked off today, running to a bum-numbing two hours in length. What do you make of the third island twist? Add your thoughts at the end of the column.
Vanessa: "Hi, do you know when the new series of NCIS starts?"
Neil: I sure do! Season five kicks off on FX in a new 9pm timeslot on Sunday nights from May 18.
Sion: "Being as you've started answering questions regularly again I'll give a stab at it and see if you can find time to answer mine. Have I missed the 3rd series of Everybody Hates Chris? If not, do Five plan on showing it or have they lost the rights? And if so, when or who now have the rights? Paramount or MTV or a new contender? Any info would be great, thanks."
Neil: Relax, you haven't missed it. Season three begins exclusively on Paramount Comedy next month. Full details over on The PLP.
Richard Sutton: "Hi Neil, I was wondering if there will be a third series of Gavin and Stacey, and secondly how is it fairing in the rating, i think the second series is better than the first. Thanks Richard"
Neil: It's definitely gathered more steam this time round, both critically and ratings-wise (around a million viewers a week on BBC Three), so a third series is without question. Hopefully Larry Lamb can find room in his schedule for another series now that he's a member of the Walford elite.
Roisin: "When is Heroes back? Im hearing a lot of different things that it is back this week or this month. I need to know."
Neil: Apologies for not making this clearer in last week's Q&A. Heroes is back in a new Thursday night slot from April 24!
Mike Cook: "Hi Neil, pleased to see the Q&A is back in Tube Talk! Keep up the good work! I notice The Riches is not on your list of US shows to watch for renewal or not...is there any news on a second series?"
Neil: Cable shows currently aren't part of the US TV Tracker page, but The Riches was picked up for a second season a loooooooong time ago. In fact, it's already on the air in the US. Expect to see it on Virgin 1 by the Summer - but don't be surprised if they cut it off mid-season and replace it with repeats of Richard Arnold's Take It Or Leave It. Ugggggh.

Series 2 of The Riches only has 7 episodes, so even Virgin couldn't mess that up! Right...?

Riches on Virgin 1 by Summer, yipee! Ending their weeknights run of DS9 at the end of a season isn't half as ridiculous as ITV1 not bothering to show episode 2 of Pushing Daises and moving straight to episode 3!

It's good to see Shipwrecked back but I agree that having the third island show straight after an 90 minutes of the main show was a bit heavy. In fact, I think they might have missed a trick by not making the third island show a standalone programme on E4 or The Hits. It could really drum up more interest in the whole show and act as bait to get people watching the other channels.
