NBC has announced a revamp of its Tuesday night schedule, with Saturday Night Live star Tracy Morgan getting his own show at 8pm Eastern.

On December 2, the new lineup will go into effect; The Tracy Morgan Show at 8 is followed by Whoopi at the new time of 8:30pm; Frasier continues in its 9pm slot, followed by Happy Family moving to 9:30pm. Law & Order: SVU continues in its regular 10pm slot.

President of NBC Entertainment, Jeff Zucker, said:

"Tracy Morgan has earned a legion of fans from his gallery of memorable characters on SNL, and we are giving him a bigger platform in primetime to showcase his likable appeal. Viewers will appreciate his own unusual take and opinions on the craziness that’s part of all of our lives."

Good Morning, Miami will return to Thursday nights to fill the hole left by the now-axed remake of Coupling.
