'Idol' star to appear in 'iCarly'

American Idol runner-up David Archuleta has signed up for an episode of iCarly.

The singer will film a cameo appearance for the Nickelodeon show later this week.

Producer Dan Schneider told Us: "iCarly is all about super-talented teens so David Archuleta is an ideal fit."

Archuleta's character will be a contestant in a talent show called America Sings.
