The Discovery Home and Leisure will drop the 'Leisure' part of its name in America from March 29.

A new logo and on-air look will be accompanied by a new graphics package and an increased number of on-air personalities. The channel's original and premiere programming slates will also be expanded.

David Karp, senior vice president and general manager for Discovery Home Channel, said:

"In addition to the rebranding, we have committed to an increase in original programming and a new on-air look designed to engage the viewer and position Discovery Home Channel as a leader in the lifestyle category. We'll offer a mix of programming that informs, motivates and appeals to viewers sense of creativity, style and fun, and inspires them to improve their homes, their surroundings and the way they live."
