Michael Cassidy exits 'Privileged'

Michael Cassidy will leave The CW's Privileged after this season's 15th episode, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Cassidy, whose character Charlie Hogan holds a torch for Megan (Joanna Garcia), will exit the drama when Charlie decides to return to college.

Series creator Rina Mimoun hinted that a romance between Charlie and Megan may blossom, saying: "Charlie will be leaving town, but not until some hot and heavy kissing goes down."

Mimoun added that the character could return next year should Privileged be granted a second run.

"Right now, I'm more concerned about Privileged returning for a second season than just Charlie," she said. "If everyone wants both, then I think we have a shot!"
