An American satellite TV provider is offering free service to an entire town for ten years - provided the town renames itself to "DISH."
"As part of DISH Network's re-branding efforts and new advertising campaign trumpeting 'Better TV for All,' we invite a city or town to join us by re-branding itself DISH," said Michael Neuman, president of DISH Network operator EchoStar.
A town must agree to change its name legally and permanently and reflect this change on government buildings, post offices, public buildings, street signs, and any other government-provided signage. In return, DISH Network will provide every household within the town limits a free STB, free installation, and the "America's Top 60" programming package free for ten years.
Submissions for the marketing stunt must be emailed to the company by November 1.
