A Late Show promo poking fun at the now-over animosity between Dave Letterman and Oprah Winfrey aired during the first quarter of Super Bowl XLI on Sunday.

The game pitted the Indianapolis Colts - from Letterman's home town - against the Chicago Bears. Winfrey lives in Chicago.

The promo spot showed Letterman wearing a Colts jersey and Winfrey wearing a Bears jersey, with the pair snuggled on a couch watching the game. Speaking with his mouth full, Letterman observed: "You want the Bears and I want the Colts, but we both win because we're in love." Winfrey then turned to him and said: "Honey, don't talk with your mouth full."

The pair's long history of friction - which included Winfrey refusing to appear on Letterman's show for 16 years - came to an end on December 1, 2005 when Winfrey appeared on the Late Show.
