Days of our Lives star Alison Sweeney will replace Caroline Rhea as host of NBC's The Biggest Loser, the network has confirmed.

"Alison is an incredible talent and will bring not only a great fresh face to the show but a huge, loyal fan base," said executive producer Ben Silverman. "We are thrilled and look forward to another strong season."

Sweeney will continue in her role as Sami Brady on Days of our Lives. She has played the villainess on the daytime soap since 1993.
