NBC has scooped 13 nominations from the Television Critics Association for shows including Heroes, Friday Night Lights and The Office.

Of NBC's total, 12 nominations were for freshman shows - all of which had been green-lighted by the network's outgoing programming chief Kevin Reilly.

Following NBC's total were HBO, with 9 nominations, and ABC, with 4.

Britain is well-represented in the nominations list, with Hugh Laurie and Helen Mirren both picking up individual nominations in the drama category for their roles in House and Prime Suspect respectively. The BBC's Planet Earth made the nominations list for Programme of the Year and two further Outstanding Achievement categories. The State Within, which went out on BBC America in the States, picked up a nomination in the Outstanding Achievement categories for movies, mini-series and specials.
