ABC has picked up a further 18 episodes of According to Jim.

The order effectively gives the show, which wasn't mentioned at ABC's upfront as part of the network's 2007-08 lineup, a seventh season. The half-hour comedy's future was thrown into doubt after ABC cancelled hour pairer George Lopez but the Jim Belushi-starring series has now been given a midseason reprieve.
