Nickelodeon is to launch Noggin and The N as two full-time, 24 hour standalone television channels.

Noggin, the ad-free channel aimed at preschoolers, and The N, the ad-supported network and home of Degrassi: The Next Generation, currently share channel space.

It is understood that Nickelodeon will make the split towards the end of the year, with The N occupying channel capacity currently used by Nickelodeon Games and Sports. G&S will move online and be repositioned as a broadband channel.
