Numbers for the second week of America's 2007-08 television season are in, and they present a mixed picture for several new shows.

Drop-offs from 10-15% are expected, but there are several shows that have seen a second week fall in viewer numbers of greater magnitude.

K-Ville - which has been almost universally panned, including by our own Neil Wilkes - saw a 31% drop-off in its second week numbers.

Gossip Girl - which has already received a season order - also places high on the wounded list, with a 29% fall.

NBC is likely to be displeased with Bionic Woman's 20% week-on-week fall, especially given that among younger viewers the fall is approaching K-Ville-esque magnitude.

On the flipside, ABC's Dirty Sexy Money and Private Practice are doing reasonably well, with Practice a little closer to the top end of the tolerance zone than ABC would have liked.

Other notables from the week of October 1 to October 7 include a strong premiere for Pushing Daisies, which topped its slot with 13m viewers, and a relatively strong performance for NBC's Friday Night Lights - perhaps because the show now actually airs on the night featured in its title.
