In the first of what is likely to become a week-long string of script pickups, both networks have ordered scripts for potential use after production wraps on each show's initial 13 episode order.
NBC has picked up three scripts for each of Bionic Woman, Chuck, Life and Journeyman, while CBS has asked for four Cane scripts.
On October 31, the WGA's current deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which negotiates collective bargaining agreements on behalf of the studios and networks, expires. Talks are ongoing but there are presently no signs that a disagreement over new media royalty payments will be resolved.
