Universal, NBC appoint new casting chiefs

Universal Media Studios and NBC Entertainment have made two senior casting appointments.

Grace Wu has become senior vice president of casting at Universal. She joins from its sister network, NBC, and will lead casting for scripted series. She has previously helped cast Bionic Woman and episodes of Friends.

She replaces Nancy Perkins who is now co-producing a documentary.

Her place, in the same role, at NBC Entertainment has been taken by Steven O'Neill. He has also worked in casting at Universal and will now report to Marc Hirschfeld, NBC executive vice president of casting.

Also, Teri Fiddleman has become Universal's director of casting and reports to Wu.
