Spears to reprise sitcom role?

Britney Spears is in talks to reprise her guest role in sitcom How I Met Your Mother, reports TV Guide.

Britney's appearance on the CBS show last month drew ratings of 10.6 million, an increase of nearly 2 million on the season average.

An insider commented: "It all depends on her availability."

The troubled popstar's guest spot, in which she played Abby, an office assistant to Scrubs actress Sarah Chalke, was received favourably by critics.

Spears said her experience filming the sitcom role was "terrific", adding: "Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I'm having a blast!"
