Season Premiere

"Spin City" kicks off its sixth season with a special one hour broadcast featuring special guest star performances by Michael J. Fox, Farrah Fawcett, Denise Richards and Olivia d'Abo, Tuesday, September 25 (9 - 10PM, ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Please note: This programme was originally scheduled to air September 18. The 9:00 p.m. segment, "The Arrival," replaces the premiere episode of Bob Patterson ("Pilot" ) which has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 2.

"The Arrival" - The first half of the broadcast picks up where last season left off, with Charlie continuing to make romantic advances towards Caitlin, but finding his plans foiled when Mike (Michael J. Fox) surprises them with a visit.

A new, relaxed Mike returns to City Hall and announces that he has possibly met the "right" woman - Allison (Olivia d'Abo) -- and may leave politics altogether. Charlie feels he missed out on a perfect opportunity with Caitlin and he wants to "re-open" the window to establishing their relationship.

Meanwhile, the Mayor is engaged in a new relationship with a judge, played by Farrah Fawcett. The only problem is that she is not yet divorced; the press runs wild with this, which is not helpful to his re-election. In the midst of all the romantic entanglements, Mike announces that he's going to marry Allison.

In the second half of the broadcast, "A Tree Falls in Manhattan," a scandal erupts when the Mayor cuts down a tree in front of Gracie Mansion in an attempt to impress his new love interest.

Unbeknownst to him, the tree, a historical landmark, was planted by George Washington in 1796. To turn the situation around, Mike takes charge and reverts to his workaholic ways, culminating in a shocking announcement: His wedding is off and that he's coming back to work at City Hall.

Meanwhile, Charlie and Caitlin are still trying to determine the significance of their relationship. While feeling vulnerable, Charlie meets a new woman, Jennifer, played by Denise Richards. Their one-night stand results in political problems for the Mayor and more relationship problems for Charlie and Caitlin.

"Spin City" stars Charlie Sheen as Charlie Crawford, Heather Locklear as Caitlin Moore, Barry Bostwick as Mayor Randall Winston, Richard Kind as Paul Lassiter, Alan Ruck as Stuart Bondeck and Michael Boatman as Carter Heywood.
