Adam Schwartz (Breckin Meyer, "Rat Race," "Clueless") tries to dust himself off and get back in the dating game after his ex-girlfriend Eve (Maggie Lawson, "Party of Five") unexpectedly dumps him.
When Schwartz finds out that Eve is bringing her new boyfriend (guest star Paul Satterfield) to a "couples dinner" at the house of his best friend David (Bryan Callen, "Mad TV") and his wife Emily (Jennifer Irwin, "Exit Wounds" ), he relies on his platonic friend Julie (Miriam Shor, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" ) and his father (Richard Kline, "Three's Company") to find him the perfect date.
