Season Premiere

When a lawyer has a heart attack while arguing with Amy and is rushed to the hospital, Amy is thrown completely off balance, on the third-season premiere of Judging Amy, to be broadcast Tuesday, September 25 (10 - 11PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Dan Sackheim directed the episode from a script by executive producer Barbara Hall.

Lawyer Stuart Collins and Judge Amy Gray have never seen eye to eye.

However, when the two get into a heated discussion in her courthouse, he has a heart attack and is rushed to the hospital. Amy's feelings for Stuart soon begin to change when she realises that he has no friends or family to come see him.

Also, Maxine must work with a couple when the future of their foster child, who is prone to extremely violent outbursts, is put in danger.

Judging Amy stars Amy Brenneman as a single mother who has left New York to become a family court judge in Hartford, Conn. Recently divorced and raising her young daughter, Lauren (Karle Warren), Judge Amy Gray lives with her mother, Maxine (Tyne Daly), and has re-established friendships with her brothers, Vincent (Dan Futterman) and Peter (Marcus Giamatti), and his wife, Gillian (Jessica Tuck).

Assisting Amy in the courtroom are her court services officer, Bruce Van Exel (Richard T. Jones), and her overeager court clerk, Donna Kozlowski-Pant (Jillian Armenante).

Judging Amy is produced by Barbara Hall/Joseph Stern Productions, in association with CBS Productions and Twentieth Century Fox Television. Barbara Hall, Joseph Stern, Connie Tavel, Amy Brenneman and Hart Hanson serve as executive producers.
