Adam West laments axed TV series

The ex-Batman actor filmed a pilot in 1991 about an ex-TV cop who attempts to solve crimes. Despite the involvement of future late night talkshow host Conan O'Brien, Lookwell was not given a series order by NBC.
Discussing the show with MTV, West recalled: "Wasn't that great? Written by Conan O'Brien and Robert Smigel... You know, my biggest regret is that that show didn't get picked up. It was a lot of fun."
West reportedly turned down the role of James Bond in Diamonds Are Forever, believing that only a British actor could successfully portray the character.
